Tydo is a reporting tool for Shopify stores, made by dtcmvp. This page says what Tydo reads when you connect a store, where that information is kept, who can see it, and how to have it removed.

What Tydo reads

When you install Tydo on your Shopify store, it reads:

• Orders, including line items, refunds, fulfillments, discounts, shipping and billing addresses, and the order's source.
• Customers, including name, email address, tags, marketing consent, and order history.
• Products, variants, collections, inventory levels, and cost per item where you have entered it.
• Your store's own sales totals from Shopify Analytics, used only to check that Tydo's numbers match yours.

If you connect Klaviyo, Tydo also reads profiles, marketing consent, lists, and segments. Tydo never writes to Klaviyo and never sends email or SMS on your behalf.

What Tydo writes

Tydo writes computed fields back to your own Shopify store as metafields and metaobjects under the tydo namespace, so that Shopify Flow, Sidekick, and other apps you use can read them. It does not change your orders, customers, or products, and it does not send anything to your customers.

Where it is kept

Tydo keeps a working copy of your store's data on servers in the United States, in a database that belongs only to your store. Access credentials are encrypted at rest. Computed results are also stored in your Shopify store, which stays under your control.

Who can see it

People you invite to your Tydo account, at the role you give them. dtcmvp staff, only to operate and support the service. Nobody else. Tydo does not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use one store's data to serve another.

When you connect Tydo to Claude or another AI assistant, that assistant can read your Tydo reports on your behalf for as long as you keep the connection. You can revoke it at any time from your Tydo settings.

How long it is kept

For as long as Tydo is installed. When you uninstall, Shopify notifies Tydo, and 48 hours later Tydo deletes your store's database, exports, and connection records. Computed metafields already written to your Shopify store remain there until you remove them.

Your customers' rights

Tydo supports Shopify's customer data requests. If a customer asks you for their data, or to be forgotten, Shopify passes that request to Tydo automatically. Tydo provides the data it holds to you, or erases the customer's identifying details while keeping the order totals your reports depend on.
