Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you, the merchant who installs Tydo on a Shopify store, and dtcmvp, the company that makes Tydo. Installing Tydo, or keeping it installed, means you accept them. The privacy policy is part of this agreement and says what Tydo reads, stores, and deletes.

What Tydo does

Tydo reads your store's orders, customers, and products from Shopify, computes reporting fields from them, and writes those fields back to your store as metafields under the tydo namespace. It shows you reports at app.tydo.com and, if you connect one, through an AI assistant. It does not change your orders, customers, or products, and it does not contact your customers.

Your data stays yours

• You own everything Tydo reads from your store and everything it computes from it.
• Tydo uses your data only to provide the service to you. It does not sell it, share it with advertisers, train models on it, or use one store's data for another.
• Tydo acts as a processor of your customers' personal data on your instructions, as the privacy policy describes. You remain the controller and stay responsible for your own obligations to your customers under the laws that apply to you.
• When you uninstall, Tydo deletes your store's data 48 hours later, on Shopify's notice. Ask sooner and it is deleted sooner.

How Tydo protects it

• Data moves only over encrypted connections and is stored on encrypted disks in the United States.
• Access credentials are encrypted at rest. Every request that reaches your data is logged with who made it.
• Encrypted backups are taken nightly and kept for thirty days.
• If Tydo learns that your data was exposed, dtcmvp will tell you within 72 hours of confirming it, with what was involved and what was done.

Your account

• Sign-in is by email link. Keep the mailbox you sign in with secure; anyone who can read it can sign in as you.
• You choose who else to invite to your store's Tydo account and at what role. You are responsible for what they do with it.
• Connecting an AI assistant gives it the access you approve on the consent screen, until you revoke it. What that assistant does with your reports is between you and its provider.

What you agree not to do

Use Tydo to break Shopify's terms or the law, probe or attack Tydo's systems, resell access to it, or install it on a store you do not have authority over.

Numbers and reliance

Tydo checks its totals against Shopify Analytics every night and tells you when they differ. Even so, Tydo is a reporting aid, not a book of record. Decisions you make from its numbers are yours, and dtcmvp is not liable for losses that follow from them. Where the law allows, dtcmvp's total liability under this agreement is limited to what you paid for Tydo in the twelve months before the claim.

Price

Tydo is free during its early access period. If a paid plan is introduced, you will be told at least thirty days before it applies to your store and can uninstall before it does.

Changes and ending

dtcmvp may update these terms; the date at the top changes and material changes are announced in the app or by email before they apply. You may end this agreement at any time by uninstalling Tydo. dtcmvp may end it by giving thirty days' notice, or immediately if you break these terms.
